World Bicycle Week

World Bicycle WeekFeel the benefits of self-propelled travel!

World Bicycle Week takes place from 23rd to 29th September this year.  It's a truly global event in which everyone can participate.  Inspired by Earth Hour, World Bicycle Week will demonstrate how carbon emissions can be reduced through positive actions taken by those who care about their health and our planet!

You are challenged to find alternative and fun ways of making your journeys for a whole week, using, wherever possible, non-motorised transport.  Using a bicycle instead of the car or the motorcycle is an obvious choice, but you can also take part with other environmentally friendly ways of getting around - roller blades, a scooter or even walking!  If your journey is too long for cycling, then using public transport in place of your usual car or motorcycle will also add to the global total of reduced emissions.

It's completely free to take part, and could even save you money in transport costs!  We need you to show your support and pledge your participation in this exciting initiative.  Or contact us to let us know how you intend to rise to the challenge.  You can also see, above, how many people have pledged to participate so far, and how much CO2 this will save.

Your participation will make a real difference.  Join us, and have a go at changing your life for the better as well as supporting an important cause for future generations.  You may find that once you have made the change, you won't want to go back!
